100% own-production honey — no additives, no heat treatment

Every honey at Mas Entreserra comes from our own colonies and is processed entirely in Catalonia. We never heat the honey above 40 °C at any stage, and we use no fine filters: the honey travels directly from the hive to the jar, keeping all its active enzymes, pollen, antioxidants and natural properties fully intact. We add no sugars, syrups, colourings or additives of any kind. What you find in the jar is exactly what our bees have produced. We hold the Proximity Sales Certificate issued by the Generalitat de Catalunya, which recognises our commitment to local, traceable production sold direct from producer to consumer.

Our artisan honey varieties

Strawberry Tree Honey

One of our most distinctive varieties and one of the most sought-after. Strawberry tree honey is harvested in autumn, when the tree flowers at the same time as its bright red berries ripen. It has a slightly bitter, complex flavour highly prized by honey enthusiasts. Dark in colour and dense in texture, it is rare and hard to find, making it one of the most sought-after honeys in our range.

Forest Honey: holm oak & oak

This is a honeydew honey rather than a nectar honey, produced when our bees collect the sweet secretions of sap-feeding insects on holm oak and oak trees in Catalan forests. Darker, less sweet and deeply mineral in character, it has a robust flavour profile that makes it a favourite among chefs and food lovers who want something beyond the ordinary.

Rosemary Honey & Thyme Honey

Wild rosemary and thyme across Catalonia bloom from spring into summer, yielding two of the most iconic Mediterranean varietal honeys. Rosemary honey, golden in colour with an intense herbal aroma, pairs beautifully with cheeses and desserts. Thyme honey carries a more powerful, slightly balsamic aroma and is a natural match for herbal teas and Mediterranean cooking.

Heather Honey & Lavender Honey

Our heather honey, gathered from mid-mountain areas of Catalonia, is thick, dark amber in colour, with a distinctively slightly bitter finish that sets it apart from sweeter varieties. Our lavender honey is one of the most fragrant in the collection: floral and soft, with balsamic notes from the wild lavender of our own fields. Both are exceptional for their aromatic depth and complexity.

Orange blossom, eucalyptus, chestnut and acacia honeys

Four more varieties complete our catalogue, each with its own clear personality. Orange blossom honey is pale, delicately citrusy and floral — one of our gentlest and most versatile honeys. Eucalyptus honey, amber-hued with a fresh, slightly mentholated aroma, is particularly popular during the cold and flu season. Chestnut honey is dark and intensely flavoured with slightly bitter notes, ideal for cooking and for those who prefer a bold aromatic profile. Acacia honey, nearly transparent and persistently liquid, is our sweetest and most neutral variety — a perfect everyday honey and a gentle introduction for first-time buyers of artisan honey.

Raw honey: properties and benefits that industrial honey simply cannot offer

Unpasteurised raw honey retains its natural enzymes — diastase and glucose oxidase — fully intact, which are central to its antimicrobial properties. It preserves its full load of flavonoids, organic acids, pollen and trace minerals that industrial heat treatment systematically destroys. Raw honey crystallises naturally over time: an unmistakable sign of authenticity. A honey that never crystallises has been heated or adulterated.
